The Education and Children's Services Business Support structure was implemented on 1 April 2020. 

This exciting opportunity has arisen to join this new Service due to a member of staff reducing their working hours on a temporary basis. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate. The services include:

  • Fostering and Residential
  • Education, Quality and Performance (School Improvement 0-11 and 11-25)
  • Inclusion Service 
  • Safeguarding, Inspection & Audit (SIA)
  • Children's Social Care (CSC)
  • Children and Family Wellbeing Service (CFW)

The purpose of the "new" Education and Children's Services Business Support service is:

  • to ensure there is consistency of service delivery;
  • to increase flexibility of support to our staff and our resources;
  • to ensure our staff feel valued and respected, we will ensure the promotion of health and well-being;
  • to provide excellent training and development opportunities for all roles;
  • to support the implementation of the "New Family Safeguarding Model" and the other strategic changes that are planned within the Education and Children's Directorate.

This post is within Core Area Team 4, based at Woodlands Centre Southport Road Chorley, PR7 1QR providing support to internal and external customers including schools and other LCC colleagues in Education, Quality and Performance, School Improvement 0-11.
