The casual support worker role offers you flexibility, allowing you to work in a way that meets the requirements of your lifestyle and offers us the advantage of a well-trained flexible extended work force. We ensure that you will receive all the training you will require to provide quality support . Could you  provide support in all aspects of daily living, including supporting people to access activities and experiences in their local community,  provide personal care, support with managing finance, administering medication and ensuring people's needs are met in terms of health and positive outcomes.

The Service supports people with learning disabilities in their own homes over 24 hours the successful applicant will be offered the opportunity to work a range of shifts including   sleep-in shifts and weekend working.

Key Accountabilities

To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan

To support people with dignity and respect in order to meet their day to day needs, including personal care supports

To support individuals to access a range of opportunities and experiences, either from their own home or in a community setting, including for example swimming, walking, bowling, dancing, shopping etc

To work in accordance with relevant national legislation and service specific policies and practice guidelines at all times

Skills and Experience

Experience of working with adults who have a learning disability is desirable but not essential as you will be given the necessary support and training to undertake this role.

Applicants who do not hold NVQ Level 3 at the time of appointment may be required to complete QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care* within the first 2 years of employment (where applicable) *Please note this and all relevant training will be funded by the Service
