Housekeeping Team at Tower Wood Outdoor Centre

A unique opportunity has arisen to work alongside the team at Tower Wood Outdoor Centre in Windermere.

The Centre is managed by Lancashire County Council and has a dedicated housekeeping team who ensure that the facilities are cleaned to the highest standard enabling  all guests to have a safe and enjoyable experience throughout their stay. Never before has the cleanliness and hygiene of the site been more important as we work to ensure our facilities are cleaned to the highest standard to combat the spread of Covid.

Tower Wood Outdoor Education Centre offers guests the use of the centre for day visits or overnight stays and includes an on-site boathouse so there are lots of different cleaning skills and techniques required and full training will be given.  The Centre is expanding, and guests will soon be able to enjoy a range of activities 7 days per week, so we need to increase our housekeeping team.

If you want to be part of this important team at Tower Wood, we would love to hear from you.  There are multiple opportunities available with different working hours
Monday to Friday and during the height of the outdoor activities season there are some opportunities to work weekend hours too.

As an employee of Lancashire County Council, we can offer you a competitive rate of pay at £9.50 per hour.  In addition to this you will enjoy an annual leave entitlement of 25 days paid leave increasing to 31 days after 5 years service (leave is pro rata to hours of contract), and you can also benefit from joining the Local Government pension scheme.

If you think this is the job for you and you can bring your cleaning experience to our team then please Apply Now.   The closing date for all applications is
Tuesday 14th May. We have also planned a recruitment day at Tower Wood on Tuesday 27th April so you are welcome to call in any time between 10am and 4pm and there will be people on hand to show you around, explain more about the job opportunities and if required to help you with your job application.
