About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, flexible staff who would enjoy supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs who live in their own homes in Leyland and the local area.


Support is required on a 24hr basis working a range of shifts including sleep-in shifts and weekend working.


The role involves all aspects of daily support, including accessing activities and experiences in the local community, personal care, support with managing finances, administering medication and ensuring individual's needs are met in terms of health and positive outcomes.


The successful applicant will value others and have a person centred approach to supporting people with dignity and respect. Being able to drive the cars of the individual's we support would be advantageous to facilitate access to activities.

Key Accountabilities

To provide support using person centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.


To provide support with dignity and respect in order to meet day to day needs, including personal care supports.


To work in accordance with relevant national legislation and service specific policies and practice guidelines at all times. 


Skills and Experience

Experience of working with adults who have a learning disability and/or mental illness is desirable but not essential as you will be given the necessary support and training to undertake this role.


Applicants who do not hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent at the time of appointment will be given the opportunity to complete QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Please note this training will be funded by the Service

This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
