About the role
Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people who have a disability? We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, flexible people who would enjoy supporting adults with disabilities to live the lives they want.
The Service supports people with learning and physical disabilities in the Short Breaks Service (respite) over 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The role involves Wake and Watch night hours. Three shifts per week. 10pm-8am. Ensuring people's needs are met in terms of health and positive outcomes. Providing a safe environment, building security, household duties, cleaning and paperwork. The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. You will be joining a supportive and knowledgeable team that create a fun environment for guests staying with high standards. Increments.

Applicants who do not hold NVQ Level 3 at the time of appointment will be required to complete QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care* within the first 2 years of employment (where applicable).
All new starters will be supported to complete the Care Certificate.
*Please note this training will be funded by the Service.

Additional payments for sleep ins duties as required.
Initial annual leave entitlement is 25 days a year (5 weeks) plus days in lieu for bank holidays. After 5 years of service annual leave entitlement increases to an extra 6 days totalling 31 days.
If the position is part time, please note the salary quoted above is the full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.
