This is a Team Manager post covering the Hyndburn, Rossendale, Ribble Valley area and offers support to foster carers.  You are part of a team of 5 managers who oversee support to foster carers in Lancashire.  We are a dynamic fostering service that have a number of new initiatives to increase support to foster carers and retention.

It is an exciting opportunity to help develop this area of the Fostering Service and in doing so improving the outcomes for the Children and Young People in our Care.  The successful candidate will work closely with our Team Managers within our Recruitment and Assessment Teams and Assessment with Family and Friends Teams.

What we are looking for…

Passion – ideally you'll already be a Manager working in a Social Care setting or ready for that step up into your first Team Manager post (we're happy to support you either way!) and you'll be passionate about making a difference to children and young people.

Challenge – we're looking for someone to drive and deliver the changes that we're making whilst supporting a team of equally dedicated professionals - having the ability to challenge behaviour and processes if you have ideas that you want to bring to the table

Inspirational & Resilient Leadership – we're after someone who is creative and inspirational so (even on the bad days) you can still drive excellence and motivate your team and yourself even when faced with tough decisions and difficult choices

Strategic focus – you'll need to be able to see the bigger picture, how your team and your own decisions can impact the wider organisation, how each service can support and enhance another, and that you're part of national or county wide initiatives working within a public service organisation – our values are supportive, innovative, respectful and collaborative; and these will hopefully aligned with your own
