Maintenance Mobile Support Team Leader – Grade 6 x 1

Working with maintenance operational managers and support officers to deliver scheduled and reactive maintenance works across a portfolio of 27 Older People's establishments and also to support the supervision of maintenance works at the County Hall HQ when required.   Ensuring all works carried out in accordance with statutory compliance, corporate Health and safety guidelines and FM best practice standards.

The post is based at County Hall in Preston but will work at sites across the county.   The post is available on a full-time 37 hours per week basis.  . 

A full driving license is required to undertake this role, and a business use only work vehicle will be provided where required.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) background check will be required prior to any candidate being offered employment.

 
Role Responsibilities:
  • Undertaking a working team leader role and supervising a small team of mobile maintenance operatives across a complex and sensitive portfolio
  • Coordinating work plans for the team and prioritising work across multiple sites.
  • Reviewing work practices and ensuring health and safety requirements are met in in line with current guidance and escalating risks to operational management.
  • Ensuring fleet vehicles are regularly maintained and used in accordance with LCC policy.
  • To undertake repair and maintenance tasks at a semi-skilled level to resolve general repair and maintenance issues e.g. plumbing, tiling, painting, joinery and assist with any other repair and maintenance tasks as required..
  • To assist the multi-trade skilled workforce with repair and maintenance tasks across all disciplines.
  • Possession of, or the ability to demonstrate the capability to gain, relevant qualifications, where applicable.
  • To maintain ICT based information in relation to records of maintenance works undertaken directly into Property Asset Management System for all property records and also for any equipment or materials procured to undertake works.
  • Resolving day to day operational problems in buildings and ensuring effective communication with occupiers to minimise impact on front facing service delivery and where required escalate risks and issues to operational managers.
  • To provide cover for the Mobile Operations Compliance Team Leader in periods of absence and undertake compliance checks and inspections at sites across the county to ensure buildings remain compliant.
