Due to internal promotion and wider expansion of the occupational therapy service within Lancashire County Council we have a number of posts available working in our community Occupational Therapy Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking occupational therapy service contributing to a wide range of service areas including equipment and adaptations, moving and handling and specialist seating. There may be opportunities to develop skills in other areas within adult social care such as learning disabilities and re-ablement. We welcome applications from newly qualified occupational therapists with some experience in a relevant field.

You will be someone who can inspire others through your best practice and high quality approach to care. You will be able to build effective professional relationships with partners in social care, health, private and voluntary sectors. You will also be someone who can promote the take up of equipment and adaptations in order to maximise independence and improve the quality of life for our service users and their families/carers.

This role will require you to develop innovative ways to achieve ideal outcomes for people whilst working within defined budgets, and you will be involved in promoting change within the service as it meets the challenge of new policies and legislation. In return we offer a competitive incremental salary, a robust induction, supervision and mentoring program, as well as specific training to equip you with the specific skills required for the post.

We strive to provide a quality therapy service across Lancashire that is recognised as being amongst the best in the country.
