Pendle Hill LP Trainee

1900026L Requisition #

| Salary £18,426 - £19,171 per annum | Fixed Term until 30.09.2020| 37 hours per week |

Are you a recent graduate looking for good work experience?

Keen to work outdoors and interested in rural skills such as footpaths, hedge laying and dry stone walling?

Do you have a commitment to conservation and communities and a passion for the environment?

If you can say 'yes' to all of the above then we'd like to hear from you.

The Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership is an exciting and ambitious Heritage Lottery Funded scheme which is part way through delivering a four year £2.5m programme of activity to restore and celebrate the landscape and heritage of this iconic Lancashire landmark.

We recruit a Graduate Trainee each year to deliver activity, to gain experience, and to learn from our team and partners.

This year the focus for the Trainee is our Access for All project which seeks to restore and upgrade a number of key footpaths and 'gateway sites' around the Pendle Hill area. You will be assisting our Access Officer and supporting the scheme volunteer group engaged in a variety of practical conservation tasks. You will also be expected to help supervise (and join in with) our hedge-laying and dry stone walling courses led by qualified trainers.

Training will mostly be on-the-job with some formal courses and technical support available. You will need a recent degree or level 5 qualification in a relevant subject, plus be able to drive.

Closing Date: 30th September

Interview date: 16th October
