The core value of Older Peoples Care Services is to promote dignity in care, independence, and respect whilst providing high quality and competitive residential, day care for older people and domiciliary services for the community.

 

The purpose of these jobs are to provide personal care and general support to older people and people living with dementia in the community or in our residential home Bowgreave Rise.

 These positions will require you to work in both types of settings and, therefore, requires you to be flexible with your hours, workplace venue and also be able to show an ability to work without close supervision when supporting in the community.

 

Shift patterns will vary according to where you are working and in agreement with the Manager but your core hours will be 20 hours per week. Your hourly rate will be £9.36 an hour.


Key responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and enabling assistance to service uses living in the community or a residential home setting. This may involve assisting with end of life care.
  • Assist in identifying service users and their carer's needs and contribute to the development of individual support plans.
  • Actively support service users in all aspects of daily life as outlined in their individual support plan.
  • Contribute to the review and monitoring of support plans and in communicating information at meetings or to a line manager.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records and complete documentation in accordance with the service involved and following professional and safe process.
  • Participate in supervision/appraisals and training as determined by your line manager.
  • Assist with the administration of medication as per procedures.
 

You do not need to have any care experience to join our team and we welcome applications from all sections of the community. You will have a caring nature, have great people skills and be able to work well with other members of the team. We ask, however, that you show a commitment to achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Care within 12 months of commencing employment which we will pay for.
