The core task of this role is to Register births, still-births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships, carry out all related duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Registration Acts.

Attest routine notices of marriage/civil partnerships; conduct statutory and non-statutory ceremonies at registration offices, religious buildings and approved premises.

Advise members of the public and partners on all matters relating to the registration service

Deal with all registration corrections, respond to face to face, telephone, online or postal enquires and submit all weekly/quarterly returns within the stated timescales.

This is a permanent post based at Accrington Registration Office.  The 520 annualised hours will be utilised 'as and when' required, working Monday to Friday.  The salary quoted will be pro-rata for the hours.
