We have some exciting opportunities shown below for a Full Time Senior Social Workers to come and join our Learning Disability & Autism Adult Social Care Team.

We're looking for people who are able to display the following skills and experience:

 
  • Someone who can provide professional supervision and oversight to your fellow team members displaying the ability to communicate at all levels to support staff.

  • Someone willing and able to contribute to the provision of high quality assessments, reviews and support plans for individual's understanding the legal framework they fall within. Taking on complex cases and advising others.

  • Someone who can build and sustain relationships to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners involved in service provision, e.g. Health, Police, Housing and Court as required; whilst having confidence to challenge what is not working and who can work creatively to suggest alternative proposals.  

 

We have a lot to offer people who join our Adult Social Care Teams including a comprehensive two-week induction, the Adult Social Care Academy. We follow this up with a supportive framework, regular supervision with managers, and opportunities to build on existing skills and knowledge.

The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'. Further information can be found on the 'Our Recruitment Process' tab.

 

You must be registered (HCPC) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.

 

You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
