| Starting Salary £28221 Per annum | Permanent Part Time, 18.5 hours per week I

Children's Social Workers within Lancashire work within a number of social care teams, including Assessment & Safeguarding, Children in Need, Child Protection/Court teams, Children in our Care, and Leaving Care in locations across the county. We'll give you the opportunity to work within specialist teams and develop your skills that allow you to achieve the very best.


We understand that the work is challenging but also very rewarding and we are committed to helping you achieve your own work/life balance. Through manageable caseloads and working in small teams that value you and your input, you'll be able to make a difference to children and young people's lives within Lancashire. 


We are committed to staff development at every level, giving you the opportunities and support to grow. We have recently launched our Social Work Academy to provide dedicated support to both newly qualified and experienced Social Workers new to Lancashire. The Academy is our framework for providing structured professional development and learning to staff in Children’s Services’ social work.


We'll support you to be the very best and that's why every Social Worker is supported by a Practice Manager who understands them and values the contribution that each and every team member brings to our service.


You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.

This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.

Health& Care Professions Council (HCPC)

You must be registered (HCPC) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.
