Lancashire Adult Social Care has transformed how we assess, deliver and support our citizens in Lancashire with a significant focus on promoting and maintaining independence through creative support planning.

 

We have some exciting opportunities shown below for social workers to come and join Adult Social Care in our Learning, Disability and Autism Teams.

We're looking for people who are able to display the following skills and experience:

  • Someone who is able to undertake high quality assessments, reviews and support plans for individuals.
  • Someone who can contribute to effective team working and to service development and to work with management to identify improvements that could be introduced to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the service.
  • Someone who can build and sustain relationships to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners involved in service provision, e.g. Health, Police, Housing and Court as required, whilst having confidence to challenge what is not working and work creatively to suggest alternative proposals.
  • Someone who can work under pressure, manage their time flexibly, intelligently under multiple demands and prioritise and manage a caseload.

 

We have a lot to offer people who join our Adult Social Care Teams including a comprehensive two-week induction programme in our bespoke Adult Social Care Academy which also includes four additional recall training days throughout your first year with us. We follow this up with a supportive framework, regular supervision with managers and opportunities to build on your existing skills and knowledge.

You must be registered with Social Work England to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Work England. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non- social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.

 

The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and you must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
