An exciting opportunity for a part time Adults Social Worker to join Lancashire County Council Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).  This is an office based service located in East Lancashire. Adult Social workers within the MASH undertake an Initial Section 42 enquiry on each new safeguarding alert using the Care Act 2014 definition. This includes a robust risk assessment, strategy discussions and development of a Safeguarding Plan in conjunction with the person and/or their representative/advocate and partners within MASH.


The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'. Further information can be found on the 'Our Recruitment Process' tab.


This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.


You must be registered (HCPC) to be appointed as a Social Worker you must be registered or have applied to register with the Social Care Council. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.
