We are currently recruiting to the role of Technical Support Officer; this is a temporary post to cover maternity leave for 9 months with a possible extension until the return of the substantive post holder.

The post holder will be required to provide efficient administration and processing tasks with regards day to day building management and maintenance of the FM portfolio of buildings.

To assist in maintaining records of building maintenance and monitoring equipment and systems to ensure works are undertaken in a timely manner.

To input maintenance tasks and orders into Property Assets Management System (PAMS) for contractors.

To ensure that all property and facilities related information is updated on the PAMS as required in relation to hard facilities management maintenance works, compliance, and service records etc.

To assist with the preparation for buildings and Service health and safety audits by both internal and external auditors to ensure that FM services are compliant with best practice guidelines and statutory requirements.

To maintain records of tasks and follow up action plans in relation to joint work between FM and other LCC departments. 


Additional Information

  • Broad understanding of operational requirements is required in the absence of the operations manager and the team leader.
  • Full understanding of compliance requirements across the sites providing the relevant technical support for team members, internal partners, customers, and contractors.
  • Facilities Service Standards - an understanding of the expected service standards that we deliver to our customers which can be internal LCC stakeholders, members of the public, tenants, or partner agencies
  • Contractor performance – understands the steps that are required to ensure that contractors understand the induction process for building and that contractor complete the induction process at site. Ensuring contractor are clear of requirement at sites as part of site visits.
  • To assist in providing cover for the reception in the event of sickness, annual leave or in a temporary reduction in staffing
  • Ensuring that all maintenance request is actioned and following up with contractor and occupiers. This role can oversee the maintenance reports across the FM building portfolio and provide regular updates for the team leader and operations manager and where required escalate issue that team leader and the operations manager.


This post is based at Union Street Area Offices, Accrington however there is potential to be working from home whilst coronavirus restriction remains in place.
